Here at City SC San Marcos we offer soccer programs for all levels, from age 4 right up until age 19. We understand the importance of trying out, hence, we strive to make our tryout process transparent, smooth and as painless as possible for all involved. Our recruitment process is detailed below for our various competitive programs with age group cut-offs, availability and contact info.

| For our Recreational Program (incl. Top Soccer) players do not need to tryout, simply register and have fun.
City SC San Marcos runs two recreational seasons in the year, a 6 to 8 week Spring Arena League and a Fall Recreation League (September to November). Our Top Soccer program, for 2-18 years old that have medical or physical disabilities, runs September to November. |
For our Competitive Program (incl. City Juniors) we hold scheduled tryout sessions once a year (between Dec-May, age dependent).

For the City SC San Marcos Academy program, recruitment is year round. Our players will be evaluated during regular competitive tryouts, however the recruitment process is ongoing. Typically, players will be invited for a trial period with the current City SC San Marcos Academy team before being offered a spot.

GIRLS:
- Although DPL recruitment is year round, official tryouts for U13-U19 DPL teams occur during the same time as SOCAL tryouts (see age group sections)
- You do not need to wait for the official tryout dates to join a DPL team
