City SC San Marcos is excited to present the Copa Winter Arena, an indoor tournament that delivers all the speed, skill, and nonstop excitement youth soccer players love. This two-day event welcomes U8–U14 boys and girls to compete in a fast-paced, high-energy environment designed to sharpen their touch, teamwork, and tactical awareness.
Played on a smaller, enclosed field, indoor soccer keeps the action continuous—with fewer stoppages, more touches, and constant involvement for every player. It’s the perfect winter challenge to stay sharp and prepare for upcoming spring league and State Cup competition.

TOURNAMENT FORMAT
Age Divisions: U8–U14 (boys & girls divisions)
On-Field: 5 field players + 1 goalkeeper (6v6 format)
Game Length: 2 x 15-minute halves
Game Guarantee: Minimum of 3 games plus playoffs for advancing teams
Roster Size: 10 players max per team
Playoffs: Ties resolved with 3-minute Golden Goal overtime
If still tied → Lose a player every 30 seconds until a team scores

FAQs
Q: How many games will each team play?
All teams are guaranteed 3 games plus playoffs for advancing teams.
Q: What equipment is required?
Shin guards, indoor flats/turf shoes, and team uniform required.
Q: When will the schedule be released?
Schedules and brackets will be published in early January 2026.
INDOOR SOCCER RULES
- No Offsides → Players can move freely to create scoring chances
- Kick-ins (indirect) instead of throw-ins
- Constant substitutions on the fly in designated zone
- 3-Line Rule: The ball may not travel across three lines in the air (from defensive third to attacking third) without touching a player, the ground, or the wall. Violation results in an indirect free kick at the spot where the ball crossed the third line.
- Goalkeeper rules:
- 5-second hold limit
- No punts/drop-kicks
- Must wear a different color jersey
- Restarts:
- All free kicks indirect (except corners & penalties)
- Penalty kicks → no rebounds allowed
- Discipline:
- Yellow/Red cards enforced (red = play short for 2 minutes or until opponent scores)
- Advantage rule applies
